Besides using credit cards, you can also pay by direct bank account. Quick Pay is also an option for those who do not have an account with Online Services. The New York Tax Department accepts payments made with both credit cards and direct bank account. Here are some tips for paying taxes online:
The e-PayTax website allows taxpayers to pay their taxes using a variety of methods. This includes Pay at Bank, UPI, RTGS/NEFT, and Payment Gateway. The e-Filing portal does not charge any fees, although the payment gateway charges may exceed the tax amount. If you are unable to pay online, you can make payments in person at the tax office.
The Pay at Bank method requires a valid bank account. To use this method, you must have an account with one of the Authorized Banks. There is no transaction fee for using this method, and you can even schedule the payment for a later date if you wish. You can also make payments through a combination of the RTGS/NEFT and the Internet. In any case, you should choose the mode that is easiest for you.
Net Banking is another option that you can use to make your tax payment. If you’re using Net Banking to make your tax payment, you must ensure that your bank account balance is sufficient before the date of payment. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be prompted to fill out a Mandate Form with your bank account details. Once you have filled out the Mandate Form, the next step will be to select the payment gateway.
You can choose from three different payment modes: debit card, Net Banking, and Payment Gateway. Payments through RTGS/NEFT are processed instantly. While Pay at Bank is convenient, you may want to use the RTGS/NEFT mode for the most secure payment. You can also pay through an Internet bank account. When you pay with a debit card, you can check the status of your payment while you wait.
Another option for paying your taxes online is an electronic check. This method lets you authorize the Department to debit your checking account. When you pay with a credit card, you’ll incur a convenience fee of 2.40% of the amount of your payment. This fee helps pay for credit card companies’ charges to the State of New Mexico. In case you have trouble finding a credit card, you can try using an electronic check.
